So, I finally have my new lens. After considering some wide angle options, I decided for a Canon EFS 10-22 for really big money. As I was about to order it, I saw this really good offer for a Canon EF 50mm 1.4f. I really wanted something sharp and was a bit hesitant to go for a zoom lens, but then again I wanted wide angle, and 10-22 was not so wide on my 1100d, so I got really confused. So, as I said, I saw this irresistible offer - the lens and UV filter for 299 EUR, and I fell for it. Yes, it's not wide angle, I know... I've read many reviews and also many articles explaining why it is good to have a 50mm prime lens, and why it is better to have a prime than a zoom lens, and I said: Ah, well, let's try it... I will do wide angle next time

That much from an inexperienced photographer who is not sure about what she needs

. Anyway, that's the state of affairs and I embrace my inexperience...
And the lens is really good! Nice and sharp! Yes! I wanted sharp!

The colors are amazing, I realized I do not need to do as many adjustments to raw photos as I used to do with the old one. So, I am happy with the choice.
Oh yes, and I bought an air blower and some sensor cleaning kit to get rid of the dust on my sensor. I only had to do a couple of blows and all was gone

Yep! I did not need to touch the sensor, thanks god!
